Nagpur First (NF) is group of enthusiastic people who were born, raised, educated or worked in Nagpur, (Maharashtra, India) and hence love Nagpur and are popularly called as Nagpurians. Currently they may or may not live in Nagpur, but would like to help, support and contribute towards Nagpur City’s growth and development.

20 deserving & needy students in Nagpur supported through scholarships
Annual Marathon, a well established activity
Starting food processing units based on Oranges
Starting industrial units based on Cotton
Starting industrial units based on locally available minerals like Coal etc.

The basic idea of Nagpur First is to help, support and contribute towards Nagpur City’s growth and development – towards this goal any and all legal, ethical and moral ways and means will be employed. Some of the ways and means already being worked upon are:
Sister City programs with International Cities
We are in discussions with 3 leading cities in the US for establishing a Sister-City relationship with Nagpur.
Locally oriented Globally focused Agricultural and Industrial Development
Support and Develop clusters of food processing units based on Oranges
Support and Develop cotton utilizing industries; like cotton ginning, textile making, garment making and such industry
Help and support Coal and other minerals of Vidarbha based industries
Help and Support in businesses to internationalize traditional Weaving Cottage Industry of Nagpur and surrounding area.
Establishing New Technology based International businesses in Nagpur
IT companies, in International Technology Park being developed by Ascendas of Singapore at MIHAN SEZ.
KPO and BPO units in IT Park
Hospitals, as part of Health City at MIHAN
CROs (Contract and Clinical Research Organizations) in Health City
Alliances with International Chambers of Commerce and Industry
International Student/Teacher Exchange programs from identified Nagpur Schools.
Teachers benefit enormously from an international exchange experience. Going abroad and meeting with their professional counterparts, teachers could return to Nagpur with an international perspective to share with their students, innovative teaching techniques, and a renewed sense of purpose.
We are in discussions with leading Schools & School Districts in the USA. The response has been very welcoming. In fact many of the graduating new teachers in the US have evinced a deep interest in getting exposure to the school system in India.
